Hello Friends!
It’s Father’s Day and I’d like to tell you a few things about my dad. First and foremost, you should know that I am a daddy’s girl and love my dad very much. He’s a quiet man, and when he talks it’s usually to tell me about his golf game or tell a funny story.
My dad is filled with stories that would lead anyone to believe that he’s riddled with bad luck or clumsy. His motto in life: the jobs not done until someone is bleeding. This is almost always him. Here’s a few stories:
- He’s hammered random parts of his body multiple times (on accident of course)
- He’s had multiple bugs fly into this ear
- He got out of bed and broke his leg
I’m not even scratching the surface. When I was younger, he’d come inside bleeding and my mom wouldn’t even bat an eye. We always had ample bandages. Literally a real-life Tim the Tool Man Taylor.
My dad taught me hard work and how duct tape and super glue will fix a cut. I get my humor, wild stories, and love of cheeseburgers (and the lions) from him. I also get my tendency to get hurt from him lol.
I know that my dad loves me. He doesn’t say much but he doesn’t need to. I’m very lucky and I know some can’t say the same. I definitely don’t take it for granted.
This Father’s Day – I hope you all share a cheers (Busch Light for my dad) and celebrate!
Xo love kim
