Y’all – these cookies are incredible. Here’s the thing – this recipe only makes a dozen cookies – which is a huge perk in my book. Sometimes I just want a quick, delicious, and small batch of cookies to solve my sweet tooth.
Alright – let’s cut to the recipe. This is wicked easy.
Let’s Bake These Bitches
Here’s what you need:
- 4 oz melted butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar + 2 teaspoons
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup flour + 2 tablespoons
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
Start by preheating your oven to 350° and prep your baking sheet with parchment paper.
Stir melted butter, 1/3 cup of sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla. Stir very well to combine.

Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well. Divide dough into three equal portions, about 1/2 cup each.

For chocolate dough: Mix in the cocoa powder and 2 teaspoons of sugar. Mix well. Set aside. For the strawberry dough: Mix in freeze-dried strawberries. I found using my hands worked best to combine. For the vanilla dough: Leave the dough plan.

Roll each dough ball into a tube. Layer the tubes (chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry). Continue rolling into a tube – about 10 inches long. It will be short and thick. Use plastic wrap to help. Slice equal circles from the dough – you should have three equal stripes in the cookie. Place the slices onto the cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes!

Let me know if you make them and how they were!! Happy baking!!
