Celebrating the Masters

The Masters start this week! If you aren’t familiar, it’s basically the Super Bowl for golf. You may think that sounds boring, but it’s actually pretty great. Matt and I are avid golfers and the Masters is the kick-off to the season.

This year we planned ahead and even took time off of work to celebrate. Throwing a Masters celebration is really easy. Here’s some inspiration to help you par-tee (golf puns)!

Food and Drink

Ah the backbone to any party: food and drinks! For your menu, keep it light and easy:

  • Tea (tee) sandwiches (egg or chicken salad)
  • Pimento cheese
  • Salad
  • Veggies and dip
  • Peach ice cream sandwiches

Get the Recipes

For the salad sandwiches, I recommend Martha Stewart’s recipes and you can go wrong with the Green Jacket salad.

You can buy peach ice cream and sandwich it between two sugar cookies or make your own!

Drinks

A day of eating and watching TV will require drinks and cocktails. The best option is the classic Arnold Palmer (half lemonade and half tea). Ads vodka to make a John Daly!

Dress and Decor

You’ll be sitting – so dress comfortably. You can’t go wrong with a polo or green jacket! Decorate your table with tees and faux grass.

I also have created these super cute stickers and tags to spruce up your spread.

You don’t have to spend a lot of time or money preparing for this celebration. It’s all about the love the game and watching some of the greatest players of our lifetime take their shot!

Enjoy!
