It’s the new year and a lot of friends and family are focused on two things: health and budget. That’s what I love about the new year, the promise of a fresh start and a clean slate.
That might seem like a weird start to overnight oats – but they are both healthy and inexpensive to make! Before we started making overnight oats, we were spending a lot of money on greasy breakfast takeout.
Anyways – let’s move to the recipe. Full transparency – there are hundreds of recipes online and they’re all great (well, some of them) – but this is cheap and easy, because I’m cheap and lazy!
Ingrediants

- Oatmeal
- Milk (your choice)
- Frozen berries
- Honey (optional)
- Jar
In your jar, do the following:
- Layer 1/4 cup of oats in the jar
- Add a layer (about a hand full) of berries
- Layer more oats
- Layer add more fruit
- Top with more oats and honey if using
- Fill with milk
Set in refrigerator overnight and enjoy in the morning!
Wicked easy and inexpensive. A bag of oats and berries will last you for weeks and it’s a great way to start off the day.
Enjoy!
